when looking for images of this, the object of Lord Cream Horn's obsession:

I get distracted by an image of Pepto Bismol Ice Cream:

But then I get sucked into the page that the original image came off, and became distracted (this was at 7:00 a.m.....it is now 10:15 p.m....such is the life of a ping pong tournament in one's head at all times). That page lead me to a magazine that features "cultural inventions and novelties" the likes of which I think only the Japanese could create. Turns out that alot of them weren't by the Japanese, but still...

I think I'm waxing nostalgic for my my travel days...either that or I'm getting in my annual "I want to move to Seattle" mood. It's probably the latter. I don't miss business travel.

Way back when in 2005, when i was infinitely more creative and Lord CreamHorn was just as scathing as he is today, I posted this. At the very bottom of this true story, I promised info on psychos in Seattle and never delivered.

Here's what started it: The Totem at Elliot Bay in Seattle

Yes, the sun does in fact shine in Seattle. They get 6 months of rain, but no snow, so why that's a problem for people I'll never know. But I think Seattleites play up the rain to keep the Californians out. Oh no...I just blew their cover...

Picture the park on a day much like that one, with no people in it (it was mid day, during the work week) except for one. I have a 35mm camera with me with a wide angle lens (1st mistake...but my Dad was reticent to even loan me the camera in the first place, let alone additional lenses) so I'm struggling to find a decent position on the hill where I can get a shot of the totem...and there she was...

Here's what happened:
ME: "hi" (New Englanders aren't as rude as you'd think)SEEMINGLY NICE FEMALE: " Ok - you can stop right there"ME: "excuse me?"SEEMINGLY NICE FEMALE: "every time you come near me you end up taking something"ME: "really?"NOW SEEMINGLY DISTURBED FEMALE: "yes you do and don't even say that you don't. Just keep walking"ME: "I just want to get a photo of the... (I now notice the angry yet strangely calm look on NSDF's face)...OK"

I slink down the slope at the park get a photo and it turns out to have the sun behind the totem so that shot is blurry, but you take what you can. I slink back up. If I'm going to be accused of stealing any of NSDF's possessions from her backpack, I want to at least look the part.
ME: "Bye, now"NOW SEEMINGLY RATIONAL FEMALE: "Bye. (all smiles) have a great day"

If they are out there...they find me.

QUESTION: Does anyone know which Castlevania for PS2 has the picture of the 3 headed gargoyle on the main menu screen? I need to get me ears on the motet that is sung on the main menu screen.

After much unsubtle prodding from Chick88, the blog is back. Since I owe her so much, I figured it was the least I can do.
MUCH MORE:
I quit my job in April. It is a liberating thing being jobless, though mostly I'm liberated from money, which stinks. But since I couldn't have my prime number birthday party in October due to what was turning out to be a terminal house guest, I figured I'd do something equally stupid, so I quit. I don't miss it - even a little. I'm looking to be gainfully employed now. Help.
SO MUCH MORE:
After being the Ambassador General to the Naysheen, I have a cat that lives with me. Bonus: he brought an owner with tons of books. Fortunately for them, I also love them both.
